The project included the design and preparation of construction drawings for the necessary erosion protection for two concrete low water crossings near Chapelle in San Miguel County. The design included a series of gabion and wire enclosed rip rap erosion protection structures that would protect two concrete low water crossings that had been in commission for several years from erosion due to floodwaters. This structure was designed to provide the residents of the area with a safe crossing during nuisance storms and to withstand potential erosion during flood events.
